Any building renovation or construction work in NZ must abide by the "rules" and "regulations" of the local council or territorial authority, along with the possible need for a Resource Consent to appease neighbours and affected parties.
To take the hassle out of the Building Consent process, we pre-process the GaraPlan component of the drawings, adding a consenting site layout & drainage plan. For consent application, all drawings are printed, ready for the checking process, invariably resulting in a successful Building Consent.
Each Local Authority reserves the right to query flora, soil or flood issues as they see fit. They each have a set time within which a Building Consent should be issued, typically 30 days.
GaraPlan has worked hard to achieve a quality product, endorsed by the Award Winning "A1 Building Certifiers Ltd." A1 are Leaders in their field of expertise and we are very proud to be associated with them.
You may also lodge GaraPlans at your Local Council or with another approved Building Certification agent, however, this avenue may result in an increase in costs as the certifier may approach the project in a "from scratch" manner.
