These drawings comply with the New Zealand Building Code (N.Z.B.C. 1992), and N.Z.S. 3604: 1999 up to high wind zone and all earthquake zones. The bracing calculations may need to be slightly amended to comply with higher wind zones. A minor modification to the drawings may be required to resist snow loadings. Contact the designer.

When a porch or attached carport is selected from our range to be constructed, a Building Consent will need to be obtained from a Building Certifier. Our office must be contacted to provide a sited building layout with levels, contours & drainage to accompany these drawings. This will incurr a fee based on time only + disbursements

Your project may require Resource Consent for various reasons & will need to be ascertained prior to building consent being sought. If your project is outside of Auckland, please contact our office to direct you to one of our agents.

EACH GARAPLAN REQUIRES A SITE LAYOUT DRAWING - FOR BUILDING CONSENT - COMPLETE WITH CONTOURS, EXISTING CONSTRUCTION ON THE PROPERTY, THE GARAPLAN BUILDING YOU HAVE SELECTED WITH LOCATION DETAILS AND DRAINAGE DESIGN. IF THE SITE LAYOUT DRAWING IS PREPARED BY SDS DESIGN, WE WILL CONVERT THE GARAPLANS TO INCLUDE YOUR SITE SPECIFIC AND BUILDING DESIGN OPTIONS. IF A GARAPLAN IS PRESENTED FOR BUILDING CONSENT WITH A SITE PLAN & DRAINAGE ETC NOT DRAWN BY SDS DESIGN LTD, WE CAN TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE SUITABILITY OR SUCCESS OF THE APPLICATION.

The GaraPlan drawings are designed in a manner which enables them to be Pre-approved by "COMPASS BUILDING CERTIFIERS LTD" ((09) 262-2201). This ensures that your certification fees can be kept to a minimum.
